First Nations and Metis Community Engagement is required to establish a solid foundation for the project and identify specific issues that will be of interest locally so they can be addressed. Discussions were also used to establish the groundwork for collecting baseline data related to Traditional Knowledge and land use, which were included in the EIS. Engagement activities include face-to-face meetings with Chief and Council, Leadership and Elders.
